Full to part sun, wet to moderately wet moisture level, adaptable to most all soil types, extremely acid to neutral pH.  1-3 feet height, spreads slowly by re-seeding and can also form large colonies by spreading rhizomes.

Native Region:  Scattered lightly statewide

Cool season.  Grows in dense clumps (tussocks) to 2 feet width.  Easily grown in moist to wet spots including standing water.  Forms dense tussocks of bright green foliage, often connected by underground runners that can make large stands.
