Black Cohosh, Bugbane, Black Snakeroot, Fairy Candles Cimicifluga racemosa (Actaea racemosa) Part sun to light shade, moderately wet to moderately dry moisture level, humus rich loam, moderately acid to slightly acid pH.  3-6 ft. height, blooms in summer, white flowers. Germination Code:  ?  Seed takes 1-2 years to germinate, and plant needs 3-4 years to flower.
