Large Tickseed Coreopsis major Full to part sun, moderately dry to dry moisture level, most soils but prefers sandy or rocky, adaptable to pH.  2-3 ft. height, blooms in summer, yellow flowers, spreads by self-seeding and stolons. Germination Code:  A Native Region:  Middle and East Tennessee Well-behaved, dependable plant with large, showy daisy-like flowers. This species of coreopsis has a rhizomatous growth pattern (spreading by underground creeping rootstalks) and is reliably perennial even in clay soils.  It has some susceptibility to diseases.
