Symphyotrichum laeve (Aster laevis)

Full to part sun, moderately wet to moderately dry moisture level, prefers fertile soil but will grow in clay. 1-3 ft. height, blooms in fall, blue flowers.

Native Region:  Lightly in Middle and East Tennessee

Considered one of our most attractive blue asters, with beautiful lavender blue flowers. Attracts bees and butterflies; birds eat the seeds. Larval food for some butterfly species.
