Part sun to light shade, moderately wet to moderately dry moisture level, best in rich organic soil or moisture-retaining clay loam.  2-4 ft. height, blooms in fall, white/purple flowers.

Native Region:  Middle and East Tennessee, lightly in West Tennessee

Delicate appearance.  Occasionally forms colonies at favorable sites.  Attracts a wide variety of insects.
