Moisture Levels

Soil moisture levels are divided into 5 categories:

Wet.  Soggy or marshy most of the year.

Moderately wet.  Excessively wet in winter, spring and after heavy rain but often dries in summer.

Medium.  A well-balanced supply of moisture.  Moisture is generally replaced at the rate at which it is used.

Moderately dry.  Water is removed from soil readily but not rapidly.

Dry.  Excessively drained.
