Common Yellow Lake Sedge, Northwest Territory Sedge Carex utriculata Full sun, wet to moderately wet moisture level, adaptable to a wide range of soils except rocky, moderately acid to slightly alkaline pH.  2-4 feet height, spreads slowly by re-seeding and by rhizomes.
