Dappled sunlight of woodlands, moderately wet to medium moisture level, rich humusy soil, circumneutral pH.  12 inches height, blooms in spring, white flowers.

Native Region:  Middle and East Tennessee

Graceful, ephemeral spring wildflower that goes dormant in summer.  Showy flowers.  Intolerant of wet soils in winter.  Attracts bees.
