Marsh Blazing Star, Gayfeather, Dense Blazing Star  Liatris spicata Full sun; wet to medium moisture level; prefers fertile soil, tolerates poor soil but not rocky; slightly acid to neutral pH.  2-5 ft. height, blooms mid to late summer, purple flowers, re-seeds slowly. Germination Code:  C(60)   Slow to establish from seed.
